As part of the acquisition of the Faircity Hotel Group by Premier Hotels, The Roodevalley Faircity Hotel has undergone a facelift and is prepped and ready to welcome guests to the newly revamped property.
The hotel lies on the banks of the Pienaar’s River in Pretoria, surrounded by a nature reserve and a bird sanctuary, offering an incredible relaxed bush setting within easy reach of Johannesburg and OR Tambo International Airport, complete with thatched roofs for a world-class Africa experience.

Rolling lawns with a gym and spa treatment rooms

A mere 20min drive from the Menlyn area, one feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life in this picturesque setting with rolling lawns, two swimming pools, a gym and spa treatment rooms. The property offers 100 rooms that are clustered in 4 room types – Garden Rooms, Hotel Rooms, Deluxe River Rooms and Executive Thatch Rooms.

During the course of this year, there have been a number of upgrades to the hotel’s facilities, including relocating the hotel’s bar to a new separate area adjacent to the Country Kitchen Restaurant. The design of the new bar echoes the hotel’s relaxed country feel with soft pastel colours. Over the festive season from 14 December to 5 January, the site will run a full leisure program that includes gin, rum and wine tastings for couples and a full kids programme from 9h00 – 16h00 each day at a cost of R60,00 per child, including a light lunch for the children.

Full menu at Country Kitchen and Bar

Roodevalley Faircity Hotel prides itself on its food offering with a breakfast that is well-known to be the best in the area, according to online reviews. The Country Kitchen and Bar offers both a full day à la carte menu of traditional hearty meals with an international, rustic flair and special buffet lunches or dinners. It also has its own gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan menu on offer.

As part of the facelift, the group has upgraded the Cormorant Terrace function venue. This spacious venue, with large wall to wall windows, now expands onto a sizable balcony overlooking the river and includes a built-in stage, buffet area and bar that echoes the soft feel of the hotel’s county setting. They plan in the New Year to further revamp and expand their kitchen, to accommodate the on-site bakery that used to be housed in a separate building. The new kitchen will assist the multiple event venues on the property to cater for various different offerings at the same time and will include a total upgrade of the hotel’s buffet area.

15 conference and event locations

The full venue offering on site includes 15 conference and events locations with 11 indoor venues and 4 semi-outdoor and outdoor spaces to host functions. The conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and the various venues can accommodate anything from 8 to 220 guests – making this property the ideal choice to fulfil a wide range of conference or eventing needs. Be sure to make time this festive season to experience the best that the area has to offer at the Roodevalley Faircity Hotel where the friendly team look forward to hosting you for the ultimate holiday, event or dining experience.
