Premier Hotels & Resorts – one of South Africa’s fastest growing, independently owned hospitality brands – is leading the charge towards summer 2020 in the SA hospitality industry.

The company recently acquired the Faircity Hotel Group, which consists of three and four-star conference hotels, as well as serviced apartments in Johannesburg and Pretoria, and is looking forward to reaping the benefits of their acquisition and upgrade programme conducted over the last 18 months.

We continue to improve our product and customer experience

Group Marketing, Sales and Revenue Director Mark Jakins comments “To be a leader in the hospitality industry requires continually improving your product and customer experience, and we have been hard at work ensuring that all of our properties and teams are ready for the summer months ahead-ensuring that this forthcoming season will be one of our busiest to date – notwithstanding the tough economy.”

Already completed refurbishments across its portfolio over the last 18 months, have been hotel and facility improvements at Premier Resort The Moorings, Premier Resort Sani Pass, and Premier Resort Mpongo Private Game Reserve, all of which offer idyllic escapes for couples and families for the coming summer holidays.

Located in South Africa’s favourite beach town

Located in Knysna, one of SA’s favourite beach towns, Premier Resort The Moorings’ upgrade includes the addition of 45 new bedrooms, an Italian bistro, a rim-flow swimming pool with stunning views of Thesen Island and the Knysna Heads, and a multipurpose entertainment area with a private
whiskey and wine cellar for tastings and functions, a spa, gym and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The popular Premier Resort Sani Pass in the Southern Drakensberg also underwent an upgrade and remodelling programme involving room upgrades, the introduction of a new multipurpose entertainment area, heated indoor swimming pool with new changing rooms, an outdoor pool and a much-improved kids club area, complete with a mini soccer field.

These, coupled with the easy road, spectacular Drakensberg setting, and Premier Kids Club offers over the December holidays, make this a must-visit experience for the family. Home to an array of wildlife, including elephant, white lion and giraffe, Premier Resort Mpongo Private Game Reserve’s enhancements outside East London, include newly refurbished rooms and two more luxury lodges.

Incredible views of the coastline

Staying in East London, one of the most convenient beachside holiday destinations in the country, the Premier Hotel EL ICC and Premier Hotel Regent both offer incredible views of the coastline and the port harbour. Both of these properties are incorporated within the Marine Park Complex on the East London Esplanade and its magnificent beaches, making the Premier Hotel EL ICC, as well as the adjacent Premier Hotel Regent, extremely desirable beachfront hotels for families looking for convenient and cost-effective summer holiday options.

Premier Hotel Cape Town is sure to wow in Sea Point in the holiday period, with its new cocktail deck with fantastic sea views; while Premier Hotel The Richards and Premier Splendid Inn Bayshore offer KZN North Coast visitors a wonderful breakaway over the festive season period. Moving inland, for those visiting family and friends and steering clear of SA’s coastal chaos, Premier’s next phase of developments include the brand new 3-star Premier Splendid Inn hotel in Bloemfontein that opened in October 2019 and encompasses 88 bedrooms, a restaurant, rooftop function area, lounge, and beautifully decorated business and conference facilities.

New Weekend Getaway packages

Premier Hotels have fantastic properties in Johannesburg and Pretoria, for inland visitors too. Premier Hotels and Resorts have also introduced new Weekend Getaway packages as well as Festive Season summer offers to ensure all holiday needs are met.
